Many falsely claim that Yoga is Asana. This is incorrect. Others falsely claim that Yoga is Samadhi. This is also incorrect. Although Yoga utilizes both Asana and Samadhi on the Eight-Limbed Path, Yoga is Union. And the aim of Yoga practice (the entire last chapter of the Yoga Sutras) is Liberation/Kaivalya. Nothing more. Nothing less. To think or say otherwise reflects that you do not have a full or accurate understanding of what Yoga is or accomplishes (or, worst, that you have attachments to certain world views/ideologies that prevent you from fully accessing/seeing the Truth).
