Week 33: Mastery Of Concentration (Sutra 40)

“Gradually, one’s mastery in concentration extends from the primal atom to the greatest magnitude.”

The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

Paramanu Paramamahattvantosya Vasikarah

Paramanu: primal atom, smallest | Parama: Greatest | Mahattva: Magnitude | Antah (Anto): end, extension | Asya: his/her | Vasikarah: mastery

With time and practice, you will be able to focus your concentration and understanding on the whole range of all that there is to know, from the smallest atom at the beginning of creation to the vastness of all of creation.

You have the ability to know all that there is to know in all of existence, and in this way, because all that exists in all of creation is an inextricable part of who you are.

And thus, Samadhi is called Self-Realization.
